Urban Growth Boundaries Delineation under Multi-Objective Constraints from the Perspective of Humanism and Low-Carbon Concept

Urban growth boundaries (UGBs) play an important role in controlling urban sprawl and protecting natural ecosystems. Traditional methods mainly focus on the heterogeneity of regional resources environment rather than residents’ behavioral activities. However, activities are one most factors influencing spatial form. Fortunately, emergence big data, especially phone signaling provides alternative data sources to understand dynamic resident behavior activity space, which is significant for people-oriented development. Therefore, we propose a novel framework UGB delineation based multi-source multi-objective constraints, emphasizes humanism low-carbon concept expansion simulation. The constraints constructed from evaluation space potential, construction suitability, ecological conservation importance, human survival materials limitation. We apply Ningbo, results show that under perspective more reliable comprehensive without constraints. findings also has higher accuracy better performance. conceptual methodological advances this study applicable other cities help UGBs delineation.
